On an iPhone or iPad, the web app works in Safari: open it and choose Add to Home Screen.

Opening it the first time

Hemmingway is not signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, and not in the Play Store, so your computer or phone asks once.

Mac

Open Hemmingway.dmg and drag Hemmingway into Applications, then open it from there. When the Mac says it could not check Hemmingway, click Done. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway next to Hemmingway. Confirm with your password.

Windows

Open Hemmingway-setup.exe. When Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.

Android

Open Hemmingway.apk. When Android asks, let your browser install apps, then tap Install. To connect texts and chat apps, Android may ask you to open Hemmingway’s App info, tap ⋮ and Allow restricted settings.
